In September 2001, St Mary's PCC agreed that a 10% tithe of the gross annual church income be given in support of Christian mission. A mission support committee was formed to consider possible recipients, in line with the PCC approved criteria. The Committee meets regularly to research, select and recommend to the PCC, individuals and organisations that they consider suitable for further financial support, based upon what is available within the current monthly budget. We keep in contact with the needs and activities of those we support. Our aim is to ensure that the wider Church Family is aware of our adopted Mission Partners, and is encouraged to support them in prayer, in practical ways and through financial giving. To achieve this we intend to communicate their needs on a regular basis in as many ways as possible.
